Teaching

I teach courses related to Analytical Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Green Chemistry, Scientific Writing, and Research Methodology. During my classes, I always emphasize "learning by doing”. I inspire students to “think”, even in this AI age. I also hold a two-year professional diploma (offline) in Education Psychology and taught children at public school before taking up research.

Hobbies

If not in the lab or in meetings, I like to be around nature, trekking, mountains, and rivers. I have run several half marathons (not proud of my time though). I enjoy playing table tennis when possible. I am trained in different forms of meditation like Vipassana, Reiki, and other techniques. I occasionally write poems in Kannada, mostly on philosophical complexity, some of which have won awards in state-level competitions.

• Summer Fellowship from Indian Academy of Science; worked at Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Jadavpur, Kolkata.
  Mentor: Professor Kankan Bhattacharyya
• Short Research Trip to France (SRTF) 2023 fellowship from The French Institute in India (IFI)/French Embassy in India; worked with a CNRS Senior Researcher at Lille University and IEMN (CNRS lab) on photocatalyst design for CO₂ reduction.
• Research fellowship on "People and Environment" by the Ford Foundation (2002–2005).
